Andrew established De Kretser Law in 2008 with the sole purpose of getting the best possible outcome for every client. As the Principal Lawyer, Andrew has over 12 years’ experience and is a dedicated and skilled practitioner who is trusted by his clients. Andrew completed a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology Major) at The University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Queensland. Andrew regularly appears on behalf of clients in the Magistrates’ Court, and represents clients in complex cases in the County Court, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), and the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT).

 

Andrew takes pride in his work and strives to achieve the best result for his clients through strategic legal advice, effective advocacy skills and client care.

 

In his spare time, Andrew enjoys giving back to the community and is a committee member and volunteer at Avalon Centre, a charity that helps the homeless and people with disabilities.

Michael has over 25 years’ experience in conveyancing and property transfers. Michael’s knowledge and experience in all aspects of conveyancing and property, including complex subdivisions and off the plan purchases, make him an invaluable asset for every client.

Micheal came to the firm after running his own successful conveyancing business for 20 years. As a testament to his excellent client service and high quality work, many of Michael's previous clients come back for repeat conveyancing business.

Outside of the firm, Michael is the Vice President and a Life Member of The East Sandringham Cricket Club. 

Ilona supports Andrew and Michael in the daily running of De Kretser Law and ensures that all clients’ needs and questions are resolved quickly and professionally.

​

Ilona is currently studying a Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal).

​

Before joining De Kretser Law, Ilona worked as a Store Manager, Visual Merchandiser and Fashion Buyer for a boutique clothing store. Coming from an interior decoration background, Ilona has a keen eye for detail and is an avid artist.

Ilona loves to travel and spend time with her family, naming Positano and Florence as her favourite holiday spots.
